Mueller’s Funny Farm is a small farm located on a gravel road nestled in the rolling hills of far northern Illinois. It is home to our flock of sheep, which includes our registered Jacob sheep as well as our “spinners flock”. Our Angora goats supply us with a fine assortment of mohair, ranging from kid mohair to adult locks. We also have llama fleece available, but it is nearly always sold out.

We use our Belgian draft horses to do much of our farm work. In addition to the normal food we need for our animals and for ourselves, we raise a number of somewhat unusual crops. Fall crops such as pumpkins, gourds, broomcorn, dried flowers, and herbs are just some of the things that are supplied to florists and sold retail at the farm. We also supply corn stalks for fall decorations. Wreaths for the fall season are also made at MUELLER’S FUNNY FARM.

Also located on our farm is our wool shop, which supplies spinners and weavers with fleece, yarn (both hand spun and mill spun), locker hooking kits, and other fiber related products. Hand knit and hand woven items are also available.

Hand made brooms are created at the farm as well as Adirondack Chairs, bird houses made from gourds, and other handiwork.

MUELLER’S FUNNY FARM opens the day after Thanksgiving for cut-your-own Christmas trees. In addition to Christmas trees, you can find “one of a kind” Christmas wreaths, roping, grave blankets, etc. Gourmet popping corn is always a favorite Christmas item. Our hours are 9:00 AM till dusk every weekend from Thanksgiving till Christmas or by appointment or by chance.
